Day 1: Arrival Addis Ababa
Up on arrival at Bole international air port and met by Ghion travel and tours representative and transfer to hotel. After check in to hotel, city tour of Addis. Which includes national museum- the home of complete hominid fossil remain of Lucy dates 3.2 million years back, mount entoto- the panoramic view from the highest point of Addis with an altitude of 3200 meter above sea level, trinity cathedral- beautiful church with a baroque style of European architecture unique to both Ethiopia and Africa, ethnographic museum and Merkato (the largest open air market in Africa). Overnight in your hotel
Day 2: Addis- Bahirdar
Morning drive to Bahirdar, located at the southern shore of Lake Tana. On the way visit the 13th century monastery, Debre-Libanos. Then keep driving to Bahirdar with the stunning view of Blue Nile gorge. Overnight in your hotel
Day 3: Bahirdar
After breakfast, journey by sympathetic African plains eventually leads to the mighty Blue Nile fall commonly known as "Tis Isat" (smoking water). After hiking the cataracts drive back to Bahirdar. After lunch boat rides on Lake Tana. On Lake Tana time has still stood and dominated by an archaic, dating from early Christian mysticism and the religious interpretations of African art are characterized by the Ethiopian Christianity, and the world's Old Testament is still practiced. Visit Ura-KidaneMihret and Azua-Mariam monasteries. Overnight in your hotel
Day 4: Bahirdar- Gondar
Morning, drive to Gondar, which was one of the hidden cities of the foreign trade area in the 17th century AD, Gondar is the site of ancient castle building palaces of different emperors constructed in the European middle age architectural style. After check-in to hotel visit the curious symbiosis of Ethiopian and Portuguese architectural representation of the royal enclosure which is also known as" the Camelot of Africa", the iconic church of Debre Birehan selassie, bath of king Fasilledes which still in use for the colorful celebration of Ethiopian epiphany (Timket). Overnight in your hotel
Day 5: Gonder- Simien Mountains National Park- Debark
After breakfast, drive from Gondar to semen mountains national park which is the most marvelous of all Abyssinian landscapes. Semen mountain national park constitutes many summits above 4000masl and culminates at Ras Dashen, the highest peak in Ethiopian and it is the home of the endemics gelada baboon, Ethiopian wolf and Walya ibex. After visit drives back to debark and Overnight in your hotel
Day 6: Debark- Axum
After breakfast drives to the ancient town of Axum, where once stood in the shadow of the ancient Mediterranean, the power center of the thriving African kingdom, the trade relation with Egypt, India and other Africans and the oriental maintained. In Axum you will visit Steal Park and Axum archeological museum and the cathedral St. Mary of Zion in which the Ark of the Covenant is preserved. Overnight in your hotel
Day 7: Axum- Mekele
Early in the morning drives from Axum to Mekele. On the way visit the 5th century BC ruins of Yeha temple and Wekro Cherkos monastery. Then keep driving to Mekele and Overnight in your hotel
Day 8: Mekele- Ahmedila
After breakfast drives from Mekele to Ahmedila and on the way visit the Afar village over the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley system to the western highland. Overnight camping
Day 9: Ahmedila
In the morning drives from Ahemedila to Lake Asele and visit the thousands of camel caravan and the rock salt mining. Afternoon, Drive further to Dallol Cobber Sink; the lowest spot on earth's surface not covered by water (-116 below sea level) enjoy the spectacular view and small hill, which is colorful by hot spring in several places. After visit drive back to Ahmedila and overnight camping
Day 10: Ahmedila- Ertale
After breakfast, drive from Ahmedila to the living Volcano Ertale which means "smoking mountain" in the local Afar language, Visit the volcano and overnight camping.
Day 11: Ertale- Afdera
Morning, drive from Ertale to the salty Lake town Afdera, which is a highly saline body of water and lies at an altitude of 103 meters below sea level and listed as one of the lowest lying in the world. Overnight Camping
Day 12: Afdera- Mekele
After breakfast drives from Afdera to Mekele on the way visit and enjoy with afar village. Overnight in your hotel
Day 13: Mekele- Lalibela
Morning after having breakfast drives to the legendary and medieval capital town of Lalibela where you will visit the monolith rock-hewn churches of the most memorable places of worship of Christianity in the African continent. Lalibela is famous for its rock hewn churches and some are hidden in enormous caves. Overnight in your hotel
Day 14: Lalibela
After breakfast, full day visit the magnificent rock-hewn churches, whose architecture and architectural sculpture with unknown methods and tools under king Lalibela in the 12th century, carved out of red basalt. These brilliant feats of engineering and architecture are often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. Overnight in your hotel
Day 15: Lalibela- kombolcha
Morning, drive from Lalibela to kombolcha and on the way visit the 13th century monastery of Hayk Istifanos (established by Ethiopian monk Aba Iyesus Mo'a who played a great role for the restoration of Solomonic dynasty in the medieval time). Overnight in your Hotel
Day 16 – kombolcha – Addis- Departure
After breakfast drive back to Addis. Evening you will have traditional farewell dinner in one of the best restaurant in Addis Ababa followed by folkloric dance of different Ethiopian nations. Then transfer to airport to fly back home.
